- Role Title: Commercial Administrator
Department: Commercial
Reports to: Sales Manager – Telesales
Salary: £30,000-£33,000
Hours: 8-5pm FULLY ON SITE
Location: Waltham Abbey, Essex
Role Purpose:
Support the sales team to achieve business targets by managing a portfolio of customers. Help grow sales and profits while ensuring smooth order processing and supporting customer needs. Work with the sales team to explore new opportunities with existing and potential customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Financial Performance
- Manage a set of National Account customers to grow sales and profit.
- Process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Support the team to meet sales and credit targets.
- Assist with customer pricing and ensure minimum order targets are met.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers.
- Provide internal support for sales, including quotes, pricing, and service issues.
- Share relevant customer information across the business in a timely manner.
- Work closely with other departments (Technical, Credit, Procurement, Marketing, Operations) to meet customer needs.
- Ensure issues such as credit risks, quality concerns, or complaints are resolved promptly.
- Maintain accurate customer records and administrative tasks.
- Keep management informed about customer and territory performance.
- Ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Promote a positive Health & Safety culture.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good overall IT skills and familiarity with office software.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, able to meet deadlines.
- Proactive and organised with the ability to work independently.
- Excel and basic data analysis skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Experience in the FMCG industry, ideally with ambient ingredients.
