Procurement Administrator
The Procurement Administrator will provide essential support to the Procurement team, ensuring the smooth handling of purchasing activities, supplier communication, and related administration. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting team efficiency. There is an opportunity to progress your career and obtain a CIPS qualification if desired supported by the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support:
- Create and maintain purchase orders, invoices, and supplier documentation.
- Update procurement records and systems to ensure accuracy.
- Ordering stock and non-stock items essential for the business
- Filing order receipts on our systems
- Communicating with internal design, production, and finance teams for mutual updates
- Supplier Coordination:
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, manage queries, and follow up on deliveries.
- Expediting goods that are needed for our production purposes
- Regularly confirming prices for parts with suppliers
- Regularly communicating with suppliers and building relationships
- Operational Support:
- Track and manage purchase requests from our departments, ensuring approvals align with budgets.
- Monitor stock levels and liaise with team members to address shortages.
- Ordering company facilities
- Conduct basic market research to support sourcing activities.
- Essential:
- Experience in an administrative or support role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A willingness to learn and develop
- Attention to detail
- Self-organisation skills
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Desirable, but not Essential:
- Familiarity with EPICOR, Power BI, Jira, SAP Concur
- Knowledge of supply chain principles.
- Interest in pursuing or current enrolment in CIPS qualification.
- £28k-£30k depending on experience, plus target driven Bonuses
