- Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (hybrid working possible after training)
£15-£17.00 per hour
This role is being recruited for on a permanent basis but there is a need for someone to start in the position on a temp basis ASAP.
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the effective management of our workforce, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, and promoting a positive working environment for all staff members.
You will be reporting into the HR Director and helping to manage other support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritise, organize, and plan HR activities to ensure efficient operations.
- Supporting with all ER issues
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all HR-related tasks, including record-keeping and documentation.
- Utilise a problem-solving approach to address HR issues and challenges, providing effective solutions in alignment with organizational goals.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with staff members, offering support, guidance, and advice with sensitivity and diplomacy.
- Draft confidential communications and standard template letters, demonstrating discretion and confidentiality.
- Accept responsibility and delegated duties as appropriate, demonstrating accountability and reliability.
- Work both independently and collaboratively as part of the HR team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Maintain a calm and methodical approach under pressure, effectively managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Commitment to equality and valuing diversity, applying these principles to all aspects of work.

- Commitment to continuing professional learning and development.
- Level 3 CIPD qualification as a minimum, or equivalent short courses.
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent (desirable).
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills, including GCSE or equivalent grade C (pass) in English Language and Maths.
- Knowledge and experience of HR administration processes.
- Experience advising managers on HR policy and procedures.
- Experience managing staff and working in an HR office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience managing information within an electronic management information system (MIS).
- Understanding of employment policies, processes, and legislation.
- Experience in diary management and minute-taking.
