minimum 9 months<br><strong>Start Date:</strong> ASAP<br>  <br> <strong>The Opportunity</strong><br>  <br> Mosaic Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a small and friendly Harlow-based business with the recruitment of a <strong>Part-Time Accounts Assistant</strong> to provide maternity cover for a minimum of nine months.<br> This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit environment and taking ownership of a varied accounts workload.<br> You will be working in a very small office alongside just one other colleague, so we are looking for someone who is reliable, personable and comfortable working independently while also being part of a supportive team.<br> The role is fully office based and offers flexibility around how the 24 hours are worked, provided they are spread across at least four days.<br> The Role<br> You will provide day-to-day accounts and administrative support, helping to ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.<br> The role is varied and hands-on, covering purchase ledger, customer accounts, invoicing, reconciliations, credit control and month-end support.<br> Key Responsibilities<br> <ul> <li>Accurately process purchase invoices.</li> <li>Reconcile supplier statements.</li> <li>Reconcile customer accounts.</li> <li>Prepare and issue customer invoices.</li> <li>Prepare and send customer statements.</li> <li>Carry out credit control and follow up outstanding payments.</li> <li>Assist with month-end duties.</li> <li>Maintain accurate financial records.</li> <li>Support general accounts administration.</li> <li>Complete ad hoc accounts tasks as required.</li> </ul> <strong>About You</strong><br>  <br> We are looking for someone with previous accounts experience who is organised, accurate and confident working in a small office environment.<br>  <br> <strong>You will ideally have:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or similar role.</li> <li>Strong administration skills.</li> <li>Good Microsoft Excel skills.</li> <li>Experience using Sage 50 would be advantageous.</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail.</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Good organisation and time management.</li> <li>The ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.</li> <li>A self-motivated and proactive approach.</li> <li>Confidence working independently.</li> <li>A practical and flexible attitude.</li> <li>The ability to communicate professionally with customers, suppliers and colleagues.</li> </ul> <strong>The Ideal Person</strong><br>  <br> Because this is such a small office, personality and reliability will be just as important as experience.<br> We are looking for someone who is:<br> <ul> <li>Friendly and approachable.</li> <li>Comfortable working closely with one other person.</li> <li>Happy to take responsibility for their own workload.</li> <li>Proactive and willing to use their initiative.</li> <li>Professional and dependable.</li> <li>Able to remain calm and accurate when busy.</li> </ul> <strong>What's on Offer?</strong><br> <ul> <li><strong>£14.95 per hour</strong></li> <li><strong>24 hours per week</strong></li> <li>Flexible working pattern across a minimum of four days</li> <li>Monday to Friday office hours</li> <li>Fully office based in Harlow</li> <li>Minimum nine-month maternity cover</li> <li>Immediate start</li> <li>Friendly, small-team environment</li> <li>Varied and responsible accounts role</li> </ul> If you have previous accounts experience and are looking for a flexible part-time role within a small and friendly business, we would be very interested in hearing from you.]]></description><salary><![CDATA[Competitive]]></salary><jobtype><![CDATA[Contract or Temp]]></jobtype><category><![CDATA[Accounting -
