We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Compliance Officer to join our dynamic and expanding client, who are seeking an enthusiastic and proven leader to take responsibility for Risk Management within the organisation.
Core duties and responsibilities
The role will report directly to the Director of Compliance and the successful candidate will take responsibility for the development of the Risk Management Framework for the Group, duties will include assisting the business to:

- put in place Risk registers for each corporate entity;
- support those businesses in the development of key risk indicators;
- generating regular reports determining areas of risk;
- delivering internal risk training;
- Insurance; co-ordination of group renewal proposal forms, notification of claims to respective insurers, ensuring claims handling is appropriate, reviewing reports and liaising with relevant staff to implement changes agreed with the Director of Compliance.
- Carrying out of project work (acquisition, investigations) as directed by the Director of Compliance.
- Supporting Compliance Team with generation of group reports and recommendations combining data from group.
- Deal with telephone calls/queries from other departments in a timely efficient and polite manner.

Knowledge and skills: essential
- IT literate – proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel (intermediate/advanced for reporting), Outlook and Access.
- Data Protection Act legislation and associated codes of conduct / practice.
- Confident delivering internal training to a diverse group.
- Presenting and reporting both verbal and written facts.
- Ability to excel under pressure and when working to frequent tight deadlines.
- Data interpretation.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the business.
Knowledge and skills: desirable
- Experience of using databases and generating reports.
- Knowledge of the civil enforcement process or of other related industries.
Qualifications: desirable
- Good level of general and technical education.
- Professional (Legal / Insurance /Risk / Financial/Audit).
