Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a flexible, personable and professional HR Advisor to join a dynamic and expanding organisation within a field based role. The position is both interesting and varies and will involve the provision of a comprehensive Human Resources Advisory service to all locations throughout the Group.  The remit will be to attend and support and operational sites to ensure the provision of guidance and advice on all HR issues in accordance with the HR Strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coach, support, mentor and challenge managers in the application of HR policies and practices, provide advice and guidance on HR issues, including supporting the TUPE process when implementing new business
  • Support the business in attracting, recruiting, retaining and developing people
  • Ensure the business manages it’s people appropriately to adopt best practice and comply with employment legislation, mitigating any risks to the business
  • Assist and advise employees on HR related issues including payroll queries
  • Provide specialist advice on a range of HR issues and provide support during meetings
  • Implement agreed Company HR policies and procedures
  • Work in line with quality procedures to ensure continuous improvement
  • Create and review job profiles as required
  • Manage all employee change procedures in line with Company policies
  • Support sites in ensuring employee absenteeism is monitored and dealt with
  • Liaise with 3rd party medical practitioners and Occupational Health providers
  • Consult with Trade Unions/representatives on all relevant issues as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records to support monthly HR KPIs and for the provision of MI
  • Liaise with the Administration and Payroll maintaining and validating personnel records
  • Draft Offer letters/Contracts of Employment and correspndence for disciplinary, grievance and redundancy meetings
  • Ensure advice provided is aimed at supporting Company objectives and culture

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

Qualifications:

  • Maths & English GCSE (Grade C or above)
  • CIPD Qualified
  • Full driving license

Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent

 Experience:

  • Working in a HR role providing advice including disciplinary, grievance, absence and resructures
  • Managing TUPE process
  • Using HR Databases
  • Recruitment Processes
  • Experience:
  • Working in a Regional HR role liaising with various levels of management
  • Understanding of payroll and HR systems processes
  • Compiling and presenting reports and analysing data
  • Facilitating local training sessions and workshops

  • Computer literate with experience of Office (Word, Excel, & Power Point)
