Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 depending on experience

An established professional services firm based in Old Harlow is looking to recruit a reliable and organised Accounts Assistant to join their team.
This is a varied and hands-on role supporting the Accounts Manager with day-to-day finance tasks, while also assisting with basic on-site IT support and wider administrative responsibilities within the business. The position would suit someone with previous accounts experience who enjoys working in a structured, professional environment and is looking to further develop their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with day-to-day office account transactions
- Supporting the Accounts Manager with daily accounting and financial administration tasks
- Processing invoices, payments and expenses
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and financial record keeping
- Supporting occasional client account transactions when required
- Providing basic first-line IT support for office staff (e.g. login issues, printers, software access)
- Liaising with external IT providers where necessary
- Assisting with practice management administration and internal documentation
- Supporting ad-hoc finance and operational projects
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance-related role
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Confident IT user, including Microsoft Office
- Professional and confidential approach to work
- Experience within a legal or professional services environment
- Familiarity with legal accounting processes or compliance frameworks
- Reliable and well organised
- Proactive with a willingness to learn
- Professional and approachable manner
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
