- JOB SPECIFICATION
Warehouse Operative - Based in Harlow, Essex
PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Warehouse Operative will work in the stores and assembly area. Receiving and despatching goods on a daily basis and performing Quality Control checks in line with company procedures.
Salary - £12.82 per hour equivalent to £25,000 per year
Hours - Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours - (3pm finish on Fridays)
All applicants must have a Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
REPORTS TO:
The Operations Manager
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving and despatching goods
- Planning storage allocation
- Quality control checks
- Picking and packing goods in line with customer requirements,
- Loading and unloading Lorries
- Ensuring all stock areas are clean and tidy
- Inventory Checks
- Handling customer returns
- Small batch assembly, including soldering and testing of products when required.
- Ordering packaging supplies
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
- Waste/Recycling
We work with some major customers, who expect a high level of service.
SKILLS:
- Good attention to detail.
- Flexible approach to tasks
- Numerate
- Previous Warehouse Assembly experience would be an advantage but not essential
- Forktruck Licence holder
- Interpersonal communication at all levels, both internally and externally
- Team player
- Experience of stock control computer systems.
- Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel desirable.
