Job Title: Scheduler
Location: Harlow, UK
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Job Overview: We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day planning, coordinating, and administrative duties related to the dispatch and allocation of personnel to projects across the UK. This role is critical in ensuring financial efficiencies, enhancing employee satisfaction, and improving overall customer service. The Scheduler will also assist with other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the business.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop and maintain detailed schedules for the dispatch and allocation of personnel to projects nationwide.
    • Coordinate with project managers to understand staffing needs and project timelines.
    • Ensure that all projects are staffed appropriately and efficiently.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Manage daily scheduling tasks, including updating records and systems.
    • Communicate scheduling details and changes to relevant personnel promptly.
    • Assist with other administrative functions as required to support business operations.
  • Resource Management:
    • Optimise the allocation of resources to achieve financial efficiencies.
    • Monitor and adjust schedules to ensure the effective use of personnel and other resources.
    • Track and report on scheduling metrics and performance indicators.
  • Employee Satisfaction:
    • Work closely with HR and management to address personnel needs and preferences.
    • Implement strategies to enhance job satisfaction and staff retention through improved scheduling practices.
    • Handle employee queries and concerns related to scheduling.
  • Customer Service:
    • Maintain high standards of customer service by ensuring timely and efficient project staffing.
    • Address and resolve any scheduling-related issues that may impact customer satisfaction.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in a scheduling or coordination role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software and tools is an advantage.
