Description
We have an exceptional opportunity from one of our existing clients for an experienced Construction Procurement Manager to join their expanding team in Harlow, Essex. 

Salary: £55,000-£65,000 plus Bonus OTE £70,000-£80,000
Hours: 8-4.30pm
Benefits: 23 days holiday plus Bank holidays

Procurement Manager

Job Summary:
As a Procurement Manager, your role will be pivotal in supporting the development and execution of our commercial strategy. This strategy encompasses supplier consolidation, category management, supplier relationship management and the acquisition of resources to meet our clients' project-specific procurement needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Commercial Strategy Support: Collaborate with the Commercial Director to develop and execute a commercial strategy aimed at enhancing our competitiveness. This strategy includes sup plier consolidation across three key tiers: Building Product Manufacturers, Building Materials Distributors, and builders' merchants. Cost optimization. 
  2. Category Management: Implement a category management strategy to meet project performance goals and exceed client expectations. Ensure the delivery of the best products and technical support to our clients.
  3. Supplier Engagement: Develop and expand our category management strategy, leveraging frameworks established by the Commercial Director. Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, fostering trust and collaboration.
  4. Supplier Contracts: Utilize legal frameworks to secure supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  5. Resource Acquisition: Play a vital role in defining and implementing a resourcing strategy to ensure we have has the necessary resources to efficiently manage and fulfil clients' procurement requirements on a project-by-project basis.
