- Assistant New Product Development Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen in a multi-billion dollar, global food business, based in Hertfordshire. To support our continued growth and development, we are recruiting for an Assistant NPD Manager to join our new product development team. Supplying some of the largest retailers, you will work closely with the Senior new product development Manager, Commercial Team, Logistics and Directors. We are looking for somebody who is eager to join a busy team in a fast-moving business. A flexible approach is crucial to ensure that deadlines are met. This would ideally suit somebody who has 2-3 years’ experience in a similar industry.
The Role
Duties & Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Manage end-to-end NPD projects, from concept to launch
• Generate new blue-sky ideas for product innovation.
• Collaborate effectively with sales, technical, and logistics teams to ensure all deadlines are met as outlined in
the critical paths.
• Work closely with suppliers on project launches
• Travel when required in the UK and Global
The Person
• Interest in food. Keeps track of food and lifestyle trends and new product launches.
• Organised with strong time management skills & high attention to detail
• A flexible ‘hands-on’ approach
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good written and verbal communication a must
• Good numerical skills (a must), Microsoft Office skills, Excel and Power Point mainly
• As well as being part of the team, you'll be expected to work on your own and use your own initiative at times so you have to have a confident, outgoing nature.
• Driving licence and willing to travel – UK and Global
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar industry.

What’s on offer:
• This role will be mainly office based, however, there may be flexibility for some home working after
probation.
• Hours 09.00 – 5.30 with 1 hour lunch
• Salary will depend on experience.
• 25 days holiday, increasing to 27 after 5 years’ service and 30 after 10 years
