- Description
- This is a great opportunity for a Sales, Research, Relationship, Account or Business Development Manager to grow within a multinational business.
Hybrid pattern to be negotiated dependent on applicants location but most be able to get to the office.
You will:
o Research and identify new business opportunities.
o Provide lead development and technical/ chemistry expertise in order to explore identified opportunities and understand what the solution needs to be.
o Work with Strategic Project Teams to help deliver new business opportunities and build plans with the Sales teams to hand over commercialised customers
o Seek out appropriate contacts and foster relationships with them.
o Be active in our markets, utilising a network of internal and external relationships to gather market intelligence and discover new opportunities.
o Identify and characterise the needs and behaviour of the target customers
o Gather data to fully characterise customer by customer opportunity -
o Pricing
o Volume
o Approval process
o Existing solution provider
o Shortcomings with existing solution provider
o Macro industry trends and their impact
o Develop, track and report on business development KPI’s.
o Prepare a monthly report summarising progress of activities, objectives and forecast updates on sales pipeline
o Accurately and efficiently follow up meeting actions, and generate suitable call reports for the business as required.
o Attend shows and events as appropriate to foster relationships, explore opportunities and gather data and information.
Essential:
- Expertise in all aspects of business development, such as pitching,
marketing, thought leadership, customer relationship management.
Blue chip background
Experience in SME or start up
A degree in Chemistry
Desirable:
- Fluency in a second language such as
French, German, Spanish or Italian
Experienced doing business in overseas
markets - Synthetic Organic Chemistry
