- Description
- We are looking for a Senior IT Delivery Manager on a hybrid basis for our client based in Hertfordshire. This is initially a 12-month FTC with the possibility of going permanent.
You will be responsible for service management and security across platforms, multiple channels and services to ensure optimum service availability, performance and cyber security.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and develop the IT team providing coaching and support to achieve objectives
- Effectively monitor and measure direct line reports against objectives
- Oversee the monitoring of outsourced IT Support Desk resource against contract SLAs and targets
- Undertake all performance management duties in line with company guidelines
- Oversee IT support & delivery operations as well as IT projects
- In conjunction with the Interim Technology Manager, ensure support & delivery of all digital transformation projects
- Lead on monitoring and improving cyber security
- Oversee new technology procurement cyber security on-boarding process
- Lead on the collection of information and creation of recommendations for improvements
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimise existing systems and processes
- Define IT strategies and policies and provide guidance to team and stakeholders
- Take accountability for issues that occur and be proactive in searching for potential problems
- Lead investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing processes
- Understand and explain the difference between user needs and the desires of the user
- Prioritise and define approaches to understand the user needs and experience
- Research and recommend the best tools and methods to use for the business
- Influence stakeholders and manage relationships effectively
- Manage & Chair IT Operations Meetings
- Develop & oversee effective reporting on IT support & delivery
Person Specification:
· Degree in IT related field or equivalent technical background experience in similar role built up over time
· Strong technical skills
· Experience of managing and engaging a small internal team
· Knowledge of outsourced IT support and IT development
· Experience of managing cyber security
· Experience of coordinating and directing the operations of IT specialists to meet the requirements of an organisation
· Excellent listening and communication skills
· Understanding of how to use clear and simple language when explaining complex issues at all levels
· Strong negotiation and influencing skills
· Proven experience in budget and contract management
· Strong project management skills
· Experience of M365
