Description

About The Role -
 
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Executive with experience in managing a medium sized, fast paced kitting and manufacturing operation.
 
The current Purchasing Manager is looking to progress within the business. Therefore, we are seeking a candidate who is also seeking development as we move our business forward. Once trained on the basics of the business the role will also entail.
 
  • Stock forecasting
  • Stock analysis
  • Making recommendations to the management team on stock levels
  • Reviewing and managing minimum and maximum levels

About You -
 
  • Highly organised with an exceptional eye for
  • Good computer (A good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages).
  • Sage 200 experience would be of great
  • Experience managing and taking responsibility for MRP
  • We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar procurement
  • An Individual that wants to learn and grow within the
  • Team player but also able to work on their own
  • Strong communication and interpersonal
 
The role includes the following tasks:
 
  • Working closely with the Internal Supply Chain Manager
  • Develop, lead and execute Company purchasing strategies
  • Utilise the Company stock management system to analyse current and historic sales data to project future sales trends.
  • Update management on any price fluctuations in material or shipping costs which impact overall profitability
  • Liaise with the sales teams on stock requirements to assist in managing customer
  • Oversee goods receipt processing and investigating supplier account queries
  • Create stock and supplier reports
  • Ensure 'Returns’ process is expedited and credit notes received
  • Management of Purchase Orders, Works Order and Subcontractor
  • General purchasing
  • Building supplier
  • Ongoing monitoring of stock holdings, forecast projected sales and place stock orders for all markets to meet customer requirements while allowing for production lead times
  • Company Stock Counts
  • Creation and upkeep of supplier SLA’s
  • BOM creation
  • Assisting accounts department with month
  • System housekeeping
