Our client is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic experienced person to join their team in Hoddesdon working from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday with a 45 minute lunch break. The candidate will need to be a good all rounder and be able to be a fast learner and pick up new duties quickly.
Salary is £22,000 - £27,000 depending on experience.
There is also a bonus payable after 3 months depending on the company performance.
The job role consists of the following main duties:
- Goods In - accepting deliveries, booking them in accurately and allocating to projects or stock as required
- Putting away stock as it arrives or is assembled and keeping the storage areas tidy and organised
- Picking goods from a picking list and prepare for despatch to the customer. Accuracy and on time despatch is absolutely key to this role
- Occasionally the products will need to be de-branded and maybe re-packed as the client likes to send everything out under their own label
- Assist with the picking for the factory assembly team and pass to the factory foreman for use
- Taking full responsibility for the stock and keeping it tidy, labelled, in the right location, re-order cards and Kanban system including rolling stock take of key items and feeding back any potential shortages
- Logistics and goods out management. Logistic consist of our van & driver, external couriers where required. Preparation of good outs for the driver to plan and manage his own route for following day
- Complete management of warehouse area to ensure clean and tidy environment to facilitate accurate receipt in, and delivery out, of all goods and components. Liaising with assembly team, purchasing and operations as required for stock management purposes.
- IT skills would be needed as the candidate will need to be able to use the in house CRM but system training will be given. Someone that isn't afraid of IT
- A reach forklift licence would be useful but not essential as training will be provided to the right person.
