Description
Expected OTE of £15,000 on top of the basic salary, plus car allowance.
You will be expected to manage your own diary and will not have to be based in the office on a daily basis.
Ideally, you will have service based sales knowledge rather than product.
My client is an industry leader in the construction sector.
This is a newly created role due to achieved growth, you have the unique opportunity to make this role your own and be rewarded for it. Are you an experienced, driven Business Development Manager? You will be responsible for producing and executing a sales strategy to grow market share and increase work through winning tender enquiries.
You will be confident to lead work winning concepts and generate income streams with existing and new customers. Including the co-ordination and reporting of sales pipelines and forecasting.
You will take the lead in identifying, engaging, developing, and managing customer relationships making the client the solution of choice with main contractors.
Activities will include:
  • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order achieve revenue targets.
  • Work with the company principals to develop and implement a sales strategy
  • Generate leads and present company credentials to potential clients
  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation
  • Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone
  • Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
  • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these

About you:
Previous experience connected to the construction industry would be essential. This position will report directly into the Managing Director.
