- Our client is searching for a Technical Estimator, with minimum 2 years industry experience, producing detailed estimates for clients, providing technical support to a field engineering team.

The applicant should have a strong knowledge of the range of metering and industry-related products and a technical understanding of how they work.
Responsibilities will include establishing the needs of the client, recommending and demonstrating solutions and options and providing quotes to them. Looking after existing and new Accounts and generating and managing new enquiries.
Industry Sector: Heat and cooling networks and community heating systems, District Heating, HVAC Controls, Heat Metering Systems (including MBus and Modbus),
Responsibilities:
- Technical and estimating skills advising on heat and cooling meters and related products
- Providing estimates and manage relationships with managed agents and installers
- Dealing with project sizes range averaging £5k-£100k
- Managing projects lasting anything from a week to 52 weeks per project.
- Establishing the technical needs of the client and suggesting appropriate products
- Explaining complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable to anyone outside of a technical background.
- Follow up with clients and resolving any issues that may arise
- keeping client informed of new technological products
- Ensuring that the clients targets are consistently met
- Supporting the Operations Manager as required

Ideal candidate would be someone who has previously been "on the tools" and is now wanting to be more office based in providing technical advice although some travelling to London, Essex, Herts and Cambridge will be required so a valid drivers licence and willingness to travel is required. Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills and the ability to identify and follow up leads. Comfortable with a technical sell and experience in heating & plumbing trade.
