Job description
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing Executive to move into their first managerial position, to be instrumental in the continual development of engagement and communication initiatives which will include stakeholder engagement, products, website, social media channels and publications.
Skills and Experience
Previous marketing and communications experience including creating engaging content and designs.
- Experience of various software packages including WordPress, In-Design and Photoshop.
- Excellent understanding of digital engagement, SEO and use of digital analytics to drive audience engagement and effective communications.
- Excellent levels of numeracy, literacy, and IT.
- Excellent short and long copy writing skills.
- Creative and innovative approach.
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Good knowledge of English grammar and ability to write clear and accurate communication.
- Ability to communicate and liaise at all levels both internally and externally.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Positivity and drive to see activities through to completion.
- Hands-on approach to delivery.
Duties and responsibilities
- Review and recommend improvements to the communications channels and digital tools used.
- Monitor effectiveness of tools and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Analyse data and metrics to identify trends and behaviours in target audiences and design bespoke approaches to reach these communities.
- Develop and deliver engagement initiatives which will increase both public and sector engagement.
- Work with managers to research opportunities and requirements for products and assist in development process.
- Assist in the development of promotional collateral.
- Develop or collate content for any communications, newsletters or publications including developing new ideas for content, sourcing stories, collating material, editing, proof reading and producing the final version.
- Guide the activities of the Digital Coordinator to ensure that the website and social media platforms contribute to the organisation’s strategic aims.
- Support the Digital Coordinator in creating dynamic and varied website and digital content that promotes public and sector interaction and participation.
- Proactively develop new and engaging ways to utilise digital channels to enhance public engagement.
- Review information provided on the visits to and engagement with the website and social media platforms, identify improvements and agree new initiatives or changes.
- Manage the use of the brand and logos.
- Liaise with the manager to design and produce new documentation and products or update existing documentation and products.
- Work with designers/printers, as appropriate, to agree final design and content.
- Where possible, undertake design work in-house using various software packages including WordPress, In-Design and Photoshop.
- Maintain the photos folder ensuring old images are archived and new images are sourced.
- Take a hands-on approach to development and delivery of all responsibilities
