The Quantity Surveyor (QS) role is ideal for a candidate with a couple of years of experience, perhaps even a Trainee, who will get support from an experienced team.

The role will be based in Harlow, but you will get weekly exposure to visiting client sites, mainly in London.

The main parts of the role include:

• Price / Forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, and other documentation
• Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
• Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
• Measure and value the work done on site
• Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers
• Identifying and weighing up commercial risk
• Assist in the commercial control of projects including provision of timely and accurate documentation in accordance with the contract
