This is a great opportunity to work for a large progressive organisation as a Supply Chain Analyst, the role will involve carrying out analysis on the end-to-end supply chain of their dedicated customers. The successful candidate will be naturally analytical and interested in offering solution-based solutions which will add value to the supply chain. This role will initially be offered on an 18 month contract.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Supply Chain project related tasks
• Develop and maintain a robust database of relevant commodity codes, and suitable clearing procedures for the various customers and product categories.
• Support monthly requirements of the business support teams, such as cost accruals, aged stock reviews, accounts payable queries, warehouse reconciliation etc.
• Supplier portal management (Convisint)
• Coordinate the annual warehouse assessment and physical stock take of assigned warehouses.
• Responsible for Business Unit annual Valpak reporting.
• Support and develop the necessary tools, reports and analysis of essential data required to satisfy the requirements of ITAF16949.
• Support Supply Chain Manager twice annual third-party logistics budgeting formulated on the back of S&OP budget process.
• Participation Supply Chain meetings. Supply Chain, day to day operation tasks
• Ensure the correct product is delivered to the customer on time in full to meet the customer’s needs. Support the annual customer satisfaction survey process.
• Source products from overseas vendors at trial & production levels to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain efficient levels of all stock as per agreed targets to balance customer demand with business risk. Ensure regular stock turnover and minimise any risks of obsolescence.
• Effectively communicate and maintain working relations with overseas vendors and sales offices to support the procurement function.
• Maintain / develop strong working relations with 3rd party warehouse facilities, freight forwarders & logistics companies to support the procurement function. This includes regular performance assessments, KPI monitoring, cost negotiations and annual benchmarking activities
• Daily SAP process, including but not limited to PO maintaining, goods movement transaction, stock reconciliation, sales invoice, duty verification, price updates, and master data update.
• Support sales budget process with customer forecast / schedule information, anticipated freight & warehouse costs, training expenditure requirements and any other foreseeable operating costs
• Maintain freight and warehouse expenditure within budget and report any premium costs.
• Regular liaising with Account/Project Managers on existing, new projects and old products phased out projects.
• Liaise with accounts payable, finance, and credit control departments as necessary to resolve open accounts and/or stock related issues.
• Submit a monthly report in line with the deadline set by the Line Manager reporting activity for the preceding month to enable performance management based on the pre-agreed targets/measures. Discussed at a monthly progress report meeting.
• Support compliance regulations such as JSox/ICFR controls.
Required Skills/Competencies
• Relevant experience or degree in a relevant supply chain, logistics or commerce qualification, or; Advanced Certificate in Procurement & Supply Operations from CIPS (or higher).
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Project (desirable). User experience and knowledge of MRP systems including SAP.
• Proven experience in schedule analysis, demand planning, forecasting, delivery metrics. Experience in dealing with 3PL's, including clearing agents, transporters & warehouses. Working knowledge of EU/UK VAT, Duty and Customs Regulations.
