We are urgently looking for a part qualified Assistant Account for an immediate start based in Harlow.

Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for managing monthly reporting, quarterly VAT returns, purchase ledger, banks reconciliations and debt management.

Duties will include:

• Responsible for all both Sales & Purchase ledger ensuring ledgers are fully reconciled, checking overheads, printing statements, inputting invoices, preparing expenses, credit card statements, raising debit notes
• Responsible for monthly reporting, including month-end, cash balances, intercompany figures, stock provision, WIP, debtor & creditor prepayments
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Sales analysis reporting quarterly
• Debt collection; dealing with more serious issues i.e. legal letters etc., agreeing and monitoring credit limits
• Preparing payment runs, liaising with creditors, checking new suppliers.

You would have worked within a similar SME environment and have good all round accounting experience.  You will be flexible, have excellent attention to detail and able to work to strict deadlines.

You will need to be available to start immediately.
