We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a part time Finance Assistant to join a friendly family business who require assistance and support with the day to day operation of the finance department by working in conjunction with the Assistant Accountant.
Duties
- Supervising both Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger Administrators who are responsible for matching, delivery notes, purchase orders and invoices and processing all supplier and sub-contractor invoices.
- Resolving any issues that arise within the section.
- Input material and plant invoices onto EasyBuild – internal finance system.
- Maintain the companies purchase ledger on the internal finance system.
- Deal with any items in query and related issues including ensuring any internal approval procedures or limits have been adhered to.
- Check supplier statements and ensure match to invoices received, raising queries where necessary.
- Entry of credit card statements onto template and circulate template to relevant staff for analysis and chase completion to set timescales. Enter analysed credit cards on to EasyBuild and deal with any queries as and when they arise.
- Analyse and enter spend on fuel cards, updating spreadsheets and ensuring timely, accurate entry onto internal finance system.
- Maintain accurate sub-contractor and supplier records on internal system, dealing with any queries as necessary.
- Enter timesheets onto EasyBuild, ensure suitably authorised and raise queries where necessary.
- Undertake a range of clerical and administrative duties within finance department to maintain operational excellence.
Skills and Attributes
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.
- Experience with financial accounting systems, data bases and CRM systems.
- AAT Level 2 accounting/bookkeeping or equivalent.
- Customer centric, provides a high level of service.
- Able to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Forges good relationships both internally and externally.
- Good team player who is encouraging and supportive.
