The Head of IT Strategy will play a major role in enhancing the efficiency, security and resilience of the clients infrastructure and business applications whilst transforming the level of support provided to its employees and associates to drive productivity, self-sufficiency and external customer/member value.
Job Description
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- The definition and delivery of IT strategy whist working in a hybrid home/office environment.
- Ownership of all technology-related deliverables within Strategic Transformation and Enhancement Programme.
- The provision of technology-related insight relevant to the Education sector to support the innovative development of our clients products and services.
- Management (through internal and outsourced resources) of the IT operational plan and associated budget, spanning infrastructure maintenance; software services; support; consumables; and telecoms.
- Be the Data Protection Officer
You must have:
- A successful track record of leadership and management in complex environments, with experience of leading and managing a team and managing budgets.
- Experience of supporting the development of strategy.
- Knowledge of applicable up to date technology solutions appropriate to the environment.
- Experience of supporting the implementation of change management projects including business systems, infrastructure technologies, and culture change.
- Proven expertise in a broad range of IT Systems and Delivery Management in Microsoft Environment (e.g. virtualised infrastructure, application software solutions, server technologies, network and data security, and storage).
- A demonstrable strong knowledge of GDPR and associated data security, management, risk and risk management.
- Experience of big data within IT/IS.
- Strong project management skills
- Experience of delivering high quality, highly-regarded IT products and services and/or agile services, processes and systems to meet customer needs.
- Strong commitment to excellent customer service.
- An understanding of the education sector.
- A keen understanding of standard business administrative systems and processes.
- Experience of successfully managing demanding and conflicting workloads.
- A successful track record of applying a creative, analytical, nuanced approach to identifying opportunities, and solving problems.
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills, underpinned by great listening skills. Experience of presenting and presenting to Senior Management.
- Effective management and delegation skills
