- Description
We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Electrical Compliance Supervisor who will ensure that quality is maintained whilst assisting with all operational, financial and quality control checks.
Duties
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of NICEIC accreditation or registration bodies and to communicate to key stakeholders within the business.
- Provide technical support and liaise with customers/clients across the contract portfolio in relation to our NICEIC accreditation.
- Inspect Electrical certification issued by contractors
- Carry out pre and post inspections of any contractors` electrical work as required by NICEIC or other registration bodies.
- Actively monitor compliance in relation to the contractors’ electrical test equipment.
- Carry duties and responsibilities for the Company NICEIC accreditation.
- Submit detailed written reports on compliance status and actions required.
- Draft quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Interpret and implement quality assurance standards.
- Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.
- Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems.
- Plan,conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
- Collect and compile statistical quality data.
- Analyse data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
- Responsible for document management systems.
- Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
- Carrying out site pre-inspections to ascertain job details and requirements.
- Carry out joint site visits with the client or service providers to determine the extent of works.
- Undertake both Health and Safety and Quality inspections.
Financial Responsibility
- Assessing and monitoring sub-contractor application for payment sheets in relation to work listed on any electrical completion certificates.
- Assis with the monitoring and budget control of domestic and commercial accounts and sub-contractor use.
- Assist with insurance claims.
- Acquiring costs, estimates and quotations from service providers.
Health and Safety Responsibility
- Carry out risk assessments and assist with the writing method statements.
- Assist with inductions for new starters, sub-contractors or agency workers.
- Carry out site safety inspections.
- Record and monitor all safety standards exceeding NICEIC quality inspections.
- Monitor expiry dates, equipment usage and test dates for all test equipment and plant.
- Ensure all operatives are working safely
- Ensuring that the results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly on the appropriate certificates or reports
Essential qualifications, skills and technical ability
- GCE/GCSE in English and Maths.
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship.
- Fully qualified electrician to 18th edition.
- City and Guilds 231, 2392-10 or 20 for electrical installation (BS7671:2018).
- Trained in H & S regulations.
- Experience in inspection, testing, certification and reporting procedures of electrical installation in domestic and commercial properties.
