We have an excellent opportunity for a strong communicator, ideally with experience of event co-ordination to join a company in Hertford on a 9 month FTC covering Maternity.
The role is to support and co-ordinate all event activities working alongside the Events Manager on all stages of the event process, ensuring the events deliver the business aims and objectives.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Work with the Events Manager to facilitate and produce all events from the finalised events calendar
- Work with other departments and support staff to ensure events are resourced and maximise exposure and awareness of relevant products and services
- Complete and organise event logistics and ensure compliance with legal and safety obligations
- Provide support to volunteers to ensure they are equipped to deliver objectives and monitor activity and progress
- Maintain good working relationships with the network to ensure they are motivated
- Ensure all activity adheres to departmental budge and business objectives
- Source content providers through relationships within the industry and keeping up to date with industry trends
- Research ways of engaging with network and understanding content needs of the members
- Ensure information given to the wider event marketing team in the event lead up, delivery and post event as well as ensuring website content is accurate and up to date
- Create opportunities to gather feedback for continuous improvement
- Maintain and develop a resource list of content providers and venues
- Manage event attendance reports, prepares research and information for analysis
Person Specification:
- Proven experience within event co-ordination and delivery
- Excellent customer service and engagement skills
- Strong communicator both verbally and written
- Good understanding of event marketing campaigns
- Good social media and online engagement skills
- Strong organisational and time keeping skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Administrative and budget skills and experience
- Enthusiastic and proactive
- Ability to build good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work on multiple projects under pressure and able to adapt to changing objectives and priorities
