I have a new opportunity available for our client who are based in Harlow.

We are seeking an experienced Depot Foreman who has previous experience within the same or similar role i.e Depot Manager / Warehouse Manager and is used to managing and mentoring a team.

My client are a very well established and successful company, with various sites around the UK. This role will be based in Harlow and you will have access to the company van for commuting to and from work.

The working hours are 42.5 hours per week and there will also be overtime available at the weekends. There is also a company bonus scheme that will be based on performance.

Key duties;

Relationships and Service 

•             Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees

•             Ensure optimum service levels are achieved and maintained

Business Awareness/ Profitability

•             Maintain an awareness of cost control at all times 

•             Management of Minimum Quality Standards (MQS)

Asset Management

•             Maintain constant control over stock and assets within the depot

•             Manage Plant, vehicles and tools

•             Ensure depot is secure at all times 

Employee Management

•             Identify and recruit employees with the right potential following the company’s laid down recruitment procedure

•             Performance and Development reviews carried out annually using the company’s appraisal process.   

•             To ensure individuals are trained and developed effectively to be able to carry out their roles.

Administration

•             Manage stock checks and audits

•             Production of weekly and monthly reports

•             Manage Depot Cash Float

•             Manage Fuel and Fuel Card

•             CI Charges

•             Communications

•             Company clothing

Health & Safety

ISO Accreditation

CQMS

•             Liaise with CQMS when necessary

Team

•             Ensure as far as is reasonably practicable, a safe working environment for the team.

Individual

•             Ensure as far as is reasonably practicable, enforce health & safety standards for the individual
