We are currently recruiting for a rapidly expanding business who are seeking a Transport Administrator to join their friendly offices in Harlow, Essex.
Due to on-going success, this well-established company are looking for an Administrator to provide support to their busy Transport and Warehouse Dept. The committed and confident candidate will join this successful business on an initial temporary basis but there is every opportunity this could be made permanent.
Our client are well-established in their field with an excellent reputation. They pride themselves on their close-knit and supportive working environment and really look after their staff.
You will work Monday – Thursday between the hours of 9:00am – 5:30pm and 9:00am – 5:00pm on a Friday. Our client is offering a salary of £18,000 - £20,000 per annum (plus annual performance bonus).

Responsibilities of Logistics Administrator
- Assist the Transport Manager with all administrative duties
- Raise and send purchase orders
- Liaise with other departments to acquire quotes to send to clients
- Complete monthly stationery orders for the entire branch
- Assist with purchasing of other products required for the warehouse
- Ensure system is regularly updated and well maintained
- Complete daily reporting outlining warehouse daily duties to send to Management
- Assist with the coordination and communication surrounding all UK deliveries
- Act as one of the first points of contact for customers with regards to their deliveries
- Provide updates on status of deliveries
- Handle complaints and queries surrounding deliveries
- Process and complete all necessary documents required
- Provide support to the on-site Health and Safety function
- Ensure good communication with other departments to ensure successful delivery service
Key Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience in a similar administration role within a busy company
- Eagerness to learn and confidence to ask questions if needed
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Sociable character who is confident in speaking to various departments within the business
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft programs
- Knowledge of Sage or inspHire would be advantageous but not essential
- A strong team-player who can work on own initiative
