We are currently working with a fantastic company in Harlow who are looking for a Laser Technician to join them as soon as possible. This is an initial temporary role for a minimum of 3 months but has the potential to go permanent.

Our client, a market leader in their field, are looking for an experienced and resilient professional to assist in the management of their stock and production.

In this role, you will work a 40 hour week (9.30am – 6.30pm shift predominantly) between Monday and Friday.

This is a crucial production role where the successful candidate must ensure the precise operation of both laser machines in order to manufacture laser cut product requirements for the business. Every requirement must be produced in a timely manner and within the agreed parameters so as to meet internal & external customer supply needs, as well as ensure optimal performance of the laser equipment. The post holder will ensure excellent quality standards and raise all non-conformance incidents through the correct channels.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• 2+ years of experience on laser cutting machines desirable.
• Higher National Certificate in Engineering desirable.
• Forklift Truck License desirable.
• Knowledge of lifting techniques.
• Solid background working with tube metal.
• Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.
• Experience in utilising and understanding CAD files and CAD software.
• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminium, Mild Steel and Stainless Steel.
• Flexible; this position requires shift work as well as some weekend work.
• Candidate has to be a strong team player.
• Candidate has to be reliable.
