We are currently working with a highly thought of and very well-established organisation who are looking for an Events Planner to join their friendly team. This role would suit someone who is passionate about planning events and providing a high level of customer service.
You will act as the first point of contact for all incoming enquiries with regards to the planning of upcoming social events. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire process from the beginning to event execution ensuring that you provide excellent customer service through every stage.
The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am – 5pm. The nature of this roles means that on occasion weekend work will present itself in manner of events, parties, wedding fayres or exhibitions. In this case, you will have a day off during the week.

Responsibilities of the Events Planner
- Take ownership of assigned enquiries such as quote requests and event bookings
- Coordinate all customer requirements, including communication and completing verbally and in writing the full details of events to handover to the Operations Team on the day of event execution
- Liaise with other departments and third parties to ensure all areas of event planning are complete and expectations are understood
- Prepare rooms in line with customer requirements
- Ensure all contact and event details are regularly updated on the system
- Prepare all event documentation such as contracts
- Conduct successful show arounds to potential clients
- Effectively manage budgets to manage customer needs
- Coordinate with all other departments including the Sales team
- Act as a first point of contact to clients pre, during and post event
- Recognise opportunities to maximise revenue through conversion, upselling and driving repeat business
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
- Effectively respond to and resolve guest issues and complaints
- Accurately forecast event revenue for all assigned events
Key Skills and Competencies Required
- Keen interest in events planning
- Be prepared resilient in any situation
- Possess a social and outgoing personality with the ability to speak to colleagues and clients with great confidence
- Previous experience in customer service, event management or sales highly desirable
- Effective communication skills including verbal, listening and writing
