We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join an established financial services business in their small finance team based in Dartford. The organisation is going through an exciting period of growth and will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of finance.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts pack
- Calculation and posting of month-end journals on Sage 200
- Daily funding and merchant settlement reconciliations
- Cash flow forecasting and general treasury management
- Supervision of management accountant responsible for accounts payable and treasury
- Maintaining fixed assets registers and investor funding schedules
- Initiating and approving bank payments on two banking systems
- Updating the finance department processes and controls manual
- Assistance with the year-end audit and annual financial statements
- Covering the duties and responsibilities of the management account in their absence
- Supporting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks and projects
To be considered for this role candidates will need:
Essential:
- To be qualified/ finalist stage of a recognised accountancy qualification ACCA/CIMA/ACA
- Previous experience of working in a small-medium business environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills including some experience of working with financial models
- Good organisational skills
Desirable:
- Experience of using Sage 200 accounting software
- Knowledge of the financial services sector
