Mosaic Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk on a temporary basis for our client who are based in Harlow.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation who can offer you a competitive hourly rate and benefits.
This role is temporary and will be until August 2018 but would possibly be extended depending on the needs of the business. The working hours are 8:45am – 5:15pm and there is free parking on site.
The successful candidate will have proven experience within Purchase Ledger, be adaptable and hardworking. There could be other duties involved, dependent on the workload within the department. You will need to have knowledge of SAGE.
Key responsibilities of the Purchase Ledger Clerk;
- Matching, checking and coding invoices
- Working out VAT payments
- Making payments via BACS and cheques
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Filing invoices
- Data entry
- Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
- Maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary
The Ideal Candidate:
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid team working skills
- Self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature
- Experienced in Excel and Microsoft office packages
- Knowledge of software packages such as SAGE and BACS
- Demonstrable experience of bookkeeping
- Ability to work to deadlines
