We are currently recruiting for a market leader in their industry who are looking for an Account Manager to join their friendly office in Harlow, Essex.
In the role of Account Manager, you will create and manager long-term, trusting relationships with key account customers through regular contact. You will oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients, and actively seek new sales opportunities whilst supporting the external Area Managers and their customers.
You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 5:30pm. Our fantastic client can also offer you the following benefits:

- Proactively contact the assigned customers on a regular basis, mainly by phone, to promote selected products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager
- To actively pursue sales leads/quotations with prospective customers and use available systems and tools to plan, prepare and drive engagement with the customers, get commitment to buy, negotiate and close successful deals
- When appropriate and requested, collaborate remotely with field sales managers, to support the management of existing or potential customers
- To grow & foster good working relationships with all clients (existing and potential) within your allocated region, identifying their decision makers and needs
- Cross sell additional products, services and solutions to existing and new customers
- Help generate leads and book appointments for external Area Managers
- Proactively and effectively work with the external Area Managers on ‘shared’ accounts and provide support on other projects as required
- To liaise closely with the departmental manager(s) dealing with current projects to ensure harmonious cross departmental working and support for customer issues
- Update company CRM software on a daily basis to ensure accurate forecasting and communicate information with the sales management team, business unit managers and wider areas of the company
- Prepare and deliver KPI reports on time and attend department/management account review meetings as required
- Proactively work with the marketing department to rejuvenate lapsed customers within your geographical area
- Maintain market awareness to identify potential new key accounts
- Provide market, product and competitor information to correct channels of the business
- Propose and/or actively contribute to company projects as required
Key Responsibilities:
Person Specification:
- Demonstrable experience of working in a sales environment
- Experience of meeting and setting targets
- Experience in following customer needs along the entire relationship process
- Experience of B2B outbound calls desirable
- Experience of using SAP
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
