Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Marketing Assistant to join our fantastic client in Ware, Hertfordshire.

Within this role you will undertake all marketing activity, including website maintenance, stock control and production/development of all marketing collateral and products, including the website and all brochures and publications as directed by the Line Manager. You will assist in the development of all marketing materials to promote the company.

Joining a fast-paced and busy team, you will work 37.5 hours per week between Monday and Friday, you will be entitled to the following benefits:

Responsibilities of Marketing Assistant

  • Update the website with new content, such as news articles/press releases, and ensure content is current.
  • Liaise with designers to update the visuals of the website, as well as implement new functionalities and updates.
  • Respond to requests for use of company brand and logos.
  • Monitor and follow-up on instances where company logo has been used incorrectly.
  • Ensure all documentation and products (including brochures, flyers etc.) are up to date.
  • Liaise with management in the design and production of new documentation and products or the update of existing products.
  • Work with designers/printers to agree final design and content.
  • Where appropriate, undertake design work in-house using various software packages included WordPress, In-Design and Photoshop.
  • Maintain accurate records of all documentation and products using version numbers.
  • Assist in the development of promotional material (pop-ups, screens etc.) to support other departments.
  • Assist with the development of new documentations and products when required, including creating content, sourcing images and liaising with design companies.
  • Develop content for newsletters, developing new ideas and sourcing stories e.g. from Partners, contractors and members etc.
  • Collate the material and assist with editing and proof-reading.
  • Produce final version and gain approval before publication.
  • Distribute publications where appropriate.
  • Assist with pre, during and post-event marketing for awards shows together with other ad-hoc events as required.
  • Plan, create and edit literate.
  • Source and design products such as award trophies, plaques, certificates and other materials as required.
  • Help manage social media platforms in liaison with the Line Manager and PR Manager as required and in absence of Social Media Coordinator.
  • Maintain accurate stock control and place orders for products where required, keeping track of orders and managing their arrival and subsequent storage.
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained to ensure availability whilst minimising wastage.
  • Maintain photos folder and ensure old images are archived and unused photos are deleted and that new images are logged and categorised.
  • Source new images from external sources.
  • Assist with the update of internal marketing procedures and to ensure procedures are maintained.
  • Handle all general marketing queries both internal and external.
  • Maintain Chief Executive’s documentation archives.
  • Carry out ad-hoc duties as required by Directors.
  • Ensure procedures relating to your area of work are up to date at all times.
  • Ensure incident reports are completed when errors are identified.

Educated to degree level you will have solid, relevant marketing and design experience and be able to confidently use Adobe’s Creative Cloud, ideally with a strong understanding of InDesign and Photoshop. Experience of WordPress is also desirable.

You will have excellent written English with outstanding communication and creative writing skills and a keen eye for detail. You will demonstrate strong organisational ability, be proactive and adopt a ‘can do’ attitude. The ability to prioritise workloads and excellent time management skills are essential.
