We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a well established organisation based in Croydon.
What does the role entail?
You will be part of the finance team that supports the procurement team to ensure that over 200 suppliers’ invoices and credit notes are processed, reconciled and paid monthly.
You will also support the Finance Director with expenses, journals and cost analysis.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Purchase Ledger accounts with invoice posting
- Assisting finance team with invoice and data analysis
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier ledger accounts
- Notify procurement of any price discrepancies
- Deal with all invoice related queries and report them to the suppliers monthly
- Credit Card Reconciliation
- Journal Posting
- Processing Expense Claims
- EC Sales VAT
- Petty Cash

Which skills are required?
- At least 1 years’ experience in purchase ledger with previous experience processing high volumes of invoices
- Strong IT and MS Office skills, especially excel, VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- A great eye for detail, highlighting invoices and questioning invoices not in line with PO’s
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- The ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 6:00pm or 8:00am - 5:00pm
