We are currently seeking a Housing Officer for our award winning client who have an established portfolio of properties and are one of the most exciting and talented growth businesses within the property sector. This exciting opportunity will involve supporting the Senior Housing officers and Property Manager in their roles. The successful candidate will be energetic and have excellent organisational abilities, they will also be customer centric, empathetic, determined and committed to providing service excellence. The role will involve acting as a central point of contact for internal and external clients and will require someone who is resourceful, builds rapport and is effective and efficient resolving a wide and diverse range of issues efficiently.
Property Management & Administration
- Sign-up tenants and act as the first point of contact for all residents.
- Register and de-register deposits.
- Logging and reporting maintenance and anti-social behaviour issues to the Building Manager.
- Occasionally supporting maintenance with furniture removal and other heavy duty tasks.
- Update Gemini with tenant details.
- Registering tenants with utilities such as electric, water and council tax.
- Updating occupancy spreadsheets with tenant details.
- Draw up contracts.
Support
- Sign post vulnerable tenants to appropriate support in the community to enable them to secure and maintain a tenancy.
- Act professionally and appropriately and remain calm under pressure in difficult and complex situations.
- Liaise with community organisations such as social services, mental health team, local councils, and support organisations.
Finance
- Demonstrate excellent business acumen and an understanding of financial issues.
- Provide a complete management service to all tenants for their claims.
- Chase outstanding payments.
- Ensuring dates and credits, debits are accurate.
- Log all correspondence.
