We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join a fantastic and expanding client of ours based in Harlow.
With a modern and positive culture, our hugely ambitious client wants to attract likeminded candidates with previous experience in selling to senior management level within large businesses.
Working Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am to 5:15pm, you will receive a basic salary of £28k (OTE OF £40K - £55K). You will also receive a car, phone and laptop allowance as well as Sandler sales training if not already achieved.
Responsibilities of Business Development Manager:
- Actively pursuing new businesses by making 60 prospecting calls per week
- Establishing relationships with decision makers, usually Managers or Directors of large businesses
- Sending up to 400 prospect emails per week
- Networking via social media
- Actively seeking business opportunities and pursuing them
- Field work across 2 days per week – arranging 4 meetings per week with prospective clients and converting
- Attend networking events monthly and flexible on occasional evening/weekend work
- Forward planning and meeting preparation
- Produce timely and quality weekly/monthly reports for management highlighting information on prospects, pipeline and forecasts
Skills and Experience of Business Development Manager:
- Courier/Carrier experience highly desirable
- Excellent prospecting and closing skills
- Experience in appointment generating
- Cold call experience willingness essential
- Well-presented professional with excellent telephone manner
- UK driving licence
- Sandler sales training ideal but not essential (Can be provided)
- Ability to work effectively with the Operations and Implementation teams
