A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Scheduler to join a dynamic, progressive and expanding family run business, who are a leader in their field. The role will initially be offered as a six month contract and this may be extended for a longer period. The successful candidate will be someone who has experience of complex scheduling processes within a manufacturing environment and who champions, working efficiently and effectively, whilst offering service excellence both internally and externally. The company offer bespoke premium products and have an excellent reputation for supplying to elite clients throughout the UK.
As the Production Scheduler you will take responsibility for a robust and detailed scheduling process that converts demand into schedules and you will act as a central point of contact, who is integral to the efficient processing, assembly and despatch of all orders. You will be liaise with all departments involved in the product life cycle, ensuring that each department is running in unison and orders are fulfilled and despatched within the specified time frames. Part of this process will be reviewing, identifying and resolving any demand vs supply discrepancies and ensuring that data is accurate and up to date at all times.
You will also interact with both internal and external sales teams ensuring that all personnel are aware of specific lead times and these are respected and adhered to. To ensure maximum efficiency, it will be vital that due consideration is given to stock procurement and transportation times that are crucial to the efficient fulfilment of orders.
Skills & Attributes
- Previous experience within production scheduling preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience coordinating departments throughout the production supply chain
