- Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced Payroll and Payments Supervisor to join a friendly, busy and expanding organisation. The successful candidate will be a hands on manager and will be confident taking ownership of processes. They will also enjoy managing and developing a small team who work to tight deadlines within a fast paced environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Overseeing monthly payroll processing for approximately 1,000 employees consisting of both permanent and contract employees, ensuring accurate and appropriate management of salary related adjustments and queries.
- Overseeing both the purchase ledger and employee expenses, ensuring all transactions are carried out accurately and within the required deadlines.
- Processing of head office payroll.
- Responsible for providing and reviewing all payroll information sent to the processing bureau.
- Overseeing credit card reconciliation process.
- Submitting quarterly VAT returns.
- Managing and developing a team of two.
- Responsible for the timely processing of all payments to HMRC.
- Development of the finance and reporting systems.
- Ensure processes are kept up to date in accordance with business requirements.

- Commercially astute with business acumen and good technical knowledge of accounting processes.

Education:
- Strong academic qualifications.
- Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or QBE.
