This is an exciting opportunity for an professionally qualified Trainer who has experience working throughout the training life cycle to join a progressive and expanding organisation. As well as being confident delivering classroom based training the successful candidate will also be competent devloping e learning material to complement the more traditional training methods.
General description
Working nationally and reporting to the Head of Learning & Development, you will provide specialist advice and knowledge to colleagues to support achievement of organisational objectives. You will assist in the effective and efficient progression and development of candidates, trainees and staff.
Core duties and responsibilities
- Identification of key learning objectives and training needs of specific groups and individuals.
- Plan, design and develop training products which satisfy identified learning needs.
- Design, manage and deliver prevention and awareness initiatives.
- Deliver training and development products using appropriate methodology and material in the most cost effective and appropriate manner.
- Facilitate, coach and mentor groups and individuals.
- Determine and utilise assessment strategies to identified standards.
- Evaluate training, learning and development programmes.
- Develop and manage internal systems and processes to achieve and maintain corporate accreditation.
- Carry out administrative procedures which comply with budgetary and other specifications.
Other duties and responsibilities
- Manage issues relating to the performance and conduct of any staff
- Manage/coach and develop staff.
Person specification
- Good listening, written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate - MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Good organisational skills including the ability to prioritise a busy workload
Knowledge and skills: essential- A sound knowledge of adult training.
- An understanding of information management.
Qualifications: desirable
- Good level of general education to GCSE’s or GNVQ/NVQ qualification or equivalent
- A recognised training qualification.
Experience: essential
- 3 years experience of design, development and delivery of industry and soft skills training.
