We have a new opportunity for an experienced Receptionist for our client who are based in Epping.
Our client are a professional and corporate organisation who are successful and well-established.
They are looking for a confident, presentable and outgoing Receptionist who will represent the company in a positive manner and run an efficient reception.
The hours for this role will be 8:30am – 5pm with an hour for lunch.

Duties of the Recptionist;
- Greeting visitors, offering them refreshments and directing them to the waiting area/relevant meeting room
- Looking after the visitor security passes and system, ensuring all visitors to the building are signed in and out
- Notifying internal staff of visitors that have arrived for them
- Keeping meeting rooms clean and tidy, ensuring the rooms are ready for the next meeting
- Accurate reservations of meeting rooms and running an efficient meeting room diary
- Accurate reservations of visitors parking bays and management of the booking system
- Answering queries from visitors and staff
- Answering calls and taking accurate messages
- Screening phone calls as required
- Booking taxis and couriers
- Organising sandwich lunches for meetings as required
- Liaising with IT to organise AV equipment as required
- Keeping the reception area tidy and presentable
- Basic office administration duties
- Providing support to the Executive Support Team as required
- Making Service Desk reports for faults/requests across the company
- Meet and greet new starters, providing comms welcome pack and new starter badge
- Replenishing items needed for kitchen area and keeping the kitchen tidy
- Assisting HR with Wellness Workshops
- Organising Head Office Summer and Christmas parties
- In addition to the details listed above you may be required to carry out other duties as required by your manager
Training requirements
- Internal systems and software e.g. Columbus
- Person specification
- Professional in manner and appearance
- Outgoing personality
- The ability to stay calm under pressure
- Polite, discreet and tactful
- Knowledge and skills: essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent telephone manner
- Ability to multi-task
- Courteous but firm when dealing with difficult customers
Knowledge and skills: desirable
- Knowledge of the sector/industry would be advantageous
Qualifications: desirable
- A levels qualifications or similar
Experience: essential
- Experience of running a busy reception
- Experience of using a Mac would be advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Efficient and well organised
- An ambassador for the company and the “face” of the company for visitors
- Self-motivated and able to use initiative
- An interest in the business
- Willing to help out above and beyond usual duties
