We have a new opportunity available for an experienced Purchasing Administrator based in Bishop’s Stortford.

Main Responsibilities;
- Creation and placement of purchase orders
- Recording of order acknowledgements and updating of systems
- Rescheduling of purchase orders and delivery schedules as demand dictates
- Maintenance of all purchased cost transactions
- Obtain quotations through tendering and recommend best value in terms of spend, billing, delivery and after sales support
- Management of supplier performance to ensure delivery performance is maintained, while ensuring adherence to quality and standards
- Resolving invoice queries with suppliers and finance
- Maintenance and filing (electronic) of all relevant purchasing and regulatory documentsProvide professional support to our procurement team for all purchasing related matters
- Forge and maintain supplier relationships
- Creation and placement of purchase orders for all indirect goods and services
- Negotiation of contracts for indirect services
- Prepare timely and accurate management information as required
- Any other duties reasonably expected within this position
Key Skills;
- Self-starter
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes and techniques
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Experience in collecting and analysing data
- Excellent IT skills, use of Microsoft Excel is essential
- Experience with SAP or similar
- Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative
- Team work and collaboration skills
- Experience in preparing, reviewing and agreeing terms and conditions and/or commercial schedules
- Good understanding of planning and delivery of major projects
- Professional manner, able to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of ISO9001
- CIPS membership or other professional qualification or equivalent is advantageous
