Mosaic Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Logistics Administrator to join an established business based in Waltham Abbey.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career within logistics, shipping and import/export operations.
Previous logistics experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. We are particularly interested in candidates who have some administrative experience, are highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and are confident using Microsoft Office.
You will join a supportive and experienced Logistics team, assisting with the day-to-day administration and coordination of UK and international collections, deliveries, imports and exports.
The Role
Working closely with experienced members of the Logistics team, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the administration and coordination of import and export shipments.
- Assisting with arranging collections and deliveries.
- Liaising with carriers, service providers and other external partners.
- Accurately entering shipment details, pricing and other information onto internal systems.
- Keeping databases and shipment records accurate and up to date.
- Assisting with the preparation and checking of shipping and export documentation.
- Collating and distributing paperwork to internal departments and external partners.
- Learning import/export documentation and compliance requirements.
- Communicating with internal departments to obtain information and provide shipment updates.
- Monitoring collections and deliveries and highlighting delays or discrepancies.
- Supporting the team in maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Learning the company's logistics systems, processes and procedures.
- Contributing ideas for improving administrative and logistics processes as your experience develops.
We are looking for someone who is organised, accurate, reliable and keen to learn.
You will ideally have:
- Some previous administration experience, although candidates with strong transferable skills will also be considered.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to follow processes and instructions accurately.
- Confidence communicating with colleagues and external contacts.
- A willingness to learn new systems and software.
- A genuine interest in developing a career within logistics and international shipping.
