Salary: £35,000 – £36,000
Hours: 40 hours per week, office based

An excellent opportunity has arisen within a growing organisation in the construction site services sector. This is a dynamic HR Advisor / Senior HR Administrator role offering exposure to a broad range of generalist HR responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting the HR function during a period of ongoing expansion.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Finance/HR, this position is responsible for providing first-line HR advice and support to line managers across a range of matters including policy, procedure, performance management, and employee relations. In addition, the role involves hands-on administrative support across the full employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for HR enquiries, providing initial advice on disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance matters
- Maintain and update the HR system, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
- Manage recruitment processes including CV screening, interviews, pre-employment checks, and onboarding
- Support the coordination of inductions, training, and development initiatives
- Administer assessment and industry-specific certification processes
- Oversee training records, scheduling, and tracking qualifications
- Review and update HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practice
- Maintain accurate absence, sickness, and attendance records
- Prepare HR reports and documentation as required
- Support the management team with ad-hoc HR projects and tasks
- Organise and maintain employee files and documentation systems
Essential
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, including advising on performance, conduct, and policies
- Recruitment experience, including conducting interviews
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive, with the ability to manage own workload
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Competitive salary of £35,000 – £36,000
