Description
This is a brilliant opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant to join an innovative organisation within the Fragrance industry. There are excellent developmental opportunities for a candidate who is determined, passionate and committed to forging a career path within this exciting industry.  The successful candidate will either have some practical experience working within a laboratory or will have a relevant qualification such as a degree or equivalent within a related science field i.e. Chemistry or Biology.
 
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • To prepare fine fragrance, personal care and household application samples as requested for customer briefs
  • Maintain and update stock of fragrances on PV
  • Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment and good laboratory practices
  • Accurately dispense fragrance oils in a clean and safe manner to finished products, meeting the deadlines required from the project initiator, salesperson, perfumer or Laboratory Manager
  • To maintain the fragrance library in a neat & tidy manner in order that contamination of fragrance oils can be prevented
  • To transfer finished samples to agreed deadlines to project initiator according to quality guidelines
  • To liaise with the project initiators, perfumers or Laboratory Manager on any issues that may delay sample deadlines
  • To help maintain stock of all laboratory consumables e.g., jar bottles etc.
