Are you ready to elevate your career in sales? As a Commercial Insurance Account Manager, you’ll take the lead in driving new business growth from our Cheshunt office. This role is your chance to make a real impact from day one, as you go beyond maintaining relationships to actively seek out and seize new business opportunities, propelling the expansion of our Commercial Insurance portfolio.
In this role, you'll spearhead personal sales efforts and prospecting initiatives that lead to the successful sale of General Insurance products, Risk Management services, and life lead generation. With a primary focus on new business development, you'll identify untapped markets and transform leads into long-term customers.
With over 90% customer retention, you'll build on strong, established relationships while aggressively pursuing new business opportunities to grow your client base and sales pipeline. Your ambition will be matched by comprehensive training at our Cheshunt office, ensuring you're fully equipped to exceed your sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business growth and exceed sales targets
- Lead prospecting and sales initiatives for General Insurance and Risk Management services
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, while actively pursuing new clients
- Develop deep product knowledge through comprehensive training
- You will be responsible to handling incoming calls from existing commercial customers, making changes, providing advice.
- Carrying our renewal reviews with existing customers, making sure that the covers are correct and upselling cover where required.
- Creating quotations for new customers
- Creating new leads and prospects to build a pipeline of business.
- Face to face and telephone sales
About You:
Are you a go-getter with a passion for sales and new business development? We're looking for a proactive, target-driven individual who thrives in a sales-focused environment. If you have a strong background in face-to-face or telesales and a proven track record of exceeding targets—especially in new business acquisition—this is the role for you.
While having a CII certification is a plus, we’re more interested in candidates who can:
- Minimum 2 years commercial insurance experience
- Full Driving licence for client meetings
- Identify and secure new business opportunities
- Confidently use multiple systems to manage and track sales activities
- Excel in a target-driven environment
- Communicate effectively and build lasting relationships with clients
