Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and services critical to our operations. This role involves close collaboration with multiple departments to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies; identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, and pricing.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and payment conditions; manage supplier contracts and resolve any disputes or issues.
  • Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery; monitor inventory levels and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers; conduct performance reviews and collaborate for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
  • Perform cost analysis and benchmarking for competitive pricing; assist in preparing procurement budgets and forecasts, and report procurement metrics to senior management.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality control teams to meet material requirements; coordinate with logistics to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Support new product development by sourcing materials and components; implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to drive innovation in procurement activities.
Ideal Candidate:
  • 5 years of experience in procurement, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven expertise in contract management and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Certification in procurement
