Are you an experienced Supply Chain Administrator with a knack for expediting orders and ensuring safety compliance? Join our dynamic team in Hoddesdon and play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our supply chain operations. This temporary position, lasting a minimum of 12 weeks, offers you the opportunity to work with a leading manufacturer and distributor, contributing to their continued success and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Expediting: Monitor and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any delays or issues.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and timely updates to stock records.
- Supplier Communication: Maintain effective communication with suppliers to track order status, negotiate delivery schedules, and manage any changes or discrepancies.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all supply chain activities, including purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Data Entry: Accurately input and update order information in our supply chain management system.
- Scanning: Perform scanning and electronic filing of documents to maintain organized and accessible records.
- H&S Checks: Conduct Health & Safety checks to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements, identifying and addressing any potential hazards.
- Reporting: Generate and analyse reports on order status, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve supply chain issues, escalating to management as necessary.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Supply Chain Administrator, with a focus on expediting orders.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with supply chain management software.
- Scanning: Familiarity with document scanning and electronic filing systems.
- Health & Safety: Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and experience conducting H&S checks.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and documentation.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- Health and safety experience and scanning is not essential
