We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our elite company on a permanent basis. Their head office is in Bishops Stortford but the role will require on site job locations in all areas of London including central and also beyond into Cambridge, Kent, Surrey and Berkshire.
As a meter reader, you will be driving mostly in and around London but we are expanding our customer base to UK wide.
You will need to hold a full UK driving licence as a vehicle will be provided to enable you to carry out your role. The role is physically demanding and you should have good levels of personal fitness. You must be comfortable working on your own for long periods of time whilst remaining self-motivated.
You will need a good level of computer literacy as you will be using a hand-held device on which your daily work schedule will be activated and an eye for detail is paramount. A good sense of planning is imperative to ensure that you make your day the most productive and fulfilling.
You will also be assisting the engineering team to meet the business needs. This will include collecting and transporting materials. Assisting with installations (Ladder work involved). General heat network data collection and heat meter audits.
You will receive full training so experience in the role is not necessary although could be a benefit.
The role:

Requirements:
- Ability to plan your days and workloads to ensure all expected readings are taken and our billing deadlines are met
- Full UK Driving licence
- As this is a customer facing role you must be approachable, presentable, and polite and act as an ambassador for the company
- Full on the job training will be given
- Uniform and full personal protective equipment is supplied
- Please note this role requires a DBS check to be carried out on the successful candidate so the candidate will require this to be checked before starting.
- You must be living and authorised to work in the UK to apply for this position
- GCSE Maths & English grade C or 4 minimum
- CSCS (Labourer) beneficial but not essential
