- Our client based in Harlow are looking for a Senior Contracts Surveyor within their Contracts Department. Reporting to the Managing Director you will represent the company as the principal contact regarding all commercial and contractual matters from the outset of project through to completion and final account.
This role will be working from home with sites and head office visits.
Salary negotiable depending on experience, plus car/car allowance and excellent benefits.
Sites mainly based in London and South East.
Responsibilities / duties:
- Review and agree the forms and details of contractual relationships with our clients;
- Provide project team with an overview of contractual obligations on projects;
- Assist with arranging performance bonds and parent company guarantees;
- Receive tender estimates, produce prime cost budgets and determine profit margins;
- Produce cash flow reports;
- Produce and issue interim payment applications;
- Assist with cash collection;
- Advise the project team of actions to be taken in the event of a change to the scope of works or programme;
- Identify and agree reimbursement of variations to contract (scope and programme) with the client;
- Identify and agree reimbursement of any loss and expense;
- Maintain and issue progressive cost plans and variation accounts to the client;
- Meet with client cost managers and PQS to progress agreement of accounts;
- Lead the production of downstream orders to sub-contractors and supply chain;
- Production of erection targets and/or engagement of installation companies;
- Production of management cost reports (WIP’s);
- Ensure records are maintained regarding progress and productivity;
- To monitor the progress and performance of sub-contractors for the purposes of ascertaining payment certifications and final accounts;
- Authorisation of incoming invoices from subcontractors and supply chain;
- Assist with the production of construction programmes;
- Assist with production of progress reports;
- Assist with the engagement, management and training of surveying staff including apprentices;
- Assist Estimating department, when required/available.
