Description
Our client is a dynamic Solutions Specialist that works internationally on innovative award winning designs. They are based in the heart of Hoddesdon and they are looking for an experienced despatch coordinator to support their Logistics Team. 

Purpose of Job:
To ensure that the customers products are delivered without damage and on time in a cost effective manner. To manage the day-to-day communication and undertake any administrative activities required for key projects to the business.
  
Hours 7am - 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am - 12 o'clock on a Friday. 
Salary between £28,000-30,000
  
Key responsibilities:
  • Liaise with production to ensure that scheduled delivery times are met as economically as possible
  • Provide a monthly report on the dispatch statistics for profit and loss for review by the Production Manager
  • Arrange all deliveries with appropriate freight haulage or national carrier
  • Prepare despatch paperwork and generate invoices once goods have been despatched. Provide weekly and monthly batch lists to the Finance department
  • Confirm all deliveries with customers prior to despatch, and keep customers informed of any delays within the agreed KPIs
  • Respond to customer delivery queries accurately and speedily. Where queries involve missing or damaged goods process claims with carriers
  • Assist the Customer Support department by providing estimates of delivery costs for jobs being quoted
  • Analyse carriers’ invoices, record costs as necessary, verify accuracy and pass to Production Manager for approval
  • Where product is to be returned as advised on a non-conformity report (NCR) arrange for return carriage using the necessary paperwork

  • be able to work on your own initiative, multi-tasking as required
  • be able to identify and communicate areas for improvement. A knowledge of logistics would be beneficial.
